Who we are
The controller of your personal data is HCL Express OÜ, registry code 11561233, Roseni 13, 10111 Tallinn, Estonia, e-mail est@hclex.com. Requests sent from the Italian version of the site may also be handled by our partner HCLEX Italia S.R.L., Via Torretta 15/a, 24125 Bergamo, Italy.
What data we collect
- Data you enter in the request form: e-mail, phone number, route, cargo description and, on some pages, your name.
- Data you send us by e-mail, phone, WhatsApp or Telegram.
- Technical data recorded by the web server: IP address, time of the request, browser type. These logs are used only for security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect data about children knowingly and we do not use profiling or automated decision-making.
Why we process it
We use your data to answer your request, prepare a quotation and arrange the transport you ask for. The legal basis is the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (art. 6(1)(f)).
Who receives it
Request notifications are delivered to our staff by e-mail and by Telegram messenger. The site is hosted in the European Union. We share data with carriers, agents, ports and customs brokers only to the extent needed to perform the transport you order. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
Requests and the related correspondence are kept for as long as needed to handle them and, where a transport is ordered, for the period required by Estonian accounting and tax law (7 years). Server logs are kept for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to est@hclex.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee).
